How does derma roller work？ Derma rollers create micro-channels in the skin using rows of tiny needles that pierce the outermost layer of the skin. Disinfect your derma roller by letting it soak in for approximately 5 to 10 minutes, and wait till it dry. If needle length is smaller than 0.5mm, just simply wash it during running water for 10-20 seconds after use and spray it with disinfect. Cleanse your skin thoroughly and make sure it’s completely dry. Step 2: Begin derma rolling After cleansing, use mild pressure to roll across treatment area 5-10 times in horizontal and vertical directions, depending on your skin tolerance and sensitivity, and make sure to lift the roller after each pass. Focus extra on the areas you want to work with more. Apply your serum or body cream as soon as you’ve done the skin needling treatment. The micro-channels created during rolling are the most active to absorb during the first 3- 5 minutes. Step 3 Clean your derma roller Clean your derma roller with dishwasher soap. Create a soapy water mix in a plastic container, then swish around the roller vigorously, making sure the roller doesn’t hit the sides. The reason we use detergents like dish soap directly after rolling is because alcohol doesn’t dissolve the proteins found in skin and blood. If your needle length is smaller than 0.5mm, just simply wash it with running water. Which Needle length too choose from? How often to use? For those who prefer home treatments, 0.3mm and 0.5mm is the most suitable sizes to start with.Needle Length longer than 0.5mm should be used at clinical departments or by professional skin care therapists.For those experienced users, or whom prefer treatments on shallow scar areas, or stretch marks, needles from 1.0-2.0mm are the most effective choices.How often you derma roll also depends on the length of needles you’ll be using.
